Words of wisdom for today

About Me

with 2 comments

I am a 60 year old disabled and retired Baptist preacher. I am a native of California, that is now living outside of California. I am a Fundamentalist in my Biblical outlook, a Calvinist in maters of Salvation, a Augustinian in maters of world view and Baptist in church polity. I am not interested in argueing with ignorant people about things they do not understand. I am tired of argueing with people that have no idea of what the Christian faith is about. People that are just looking for an argument are not welcome here. Those who are really enterested in the truth can find an open sharing here. There are those today who wish us to be gone, but that is not going to happen. There are those that hate fundamental Christians so much that they would wish us dead. We are still here and still standing for the old truths of God’s Word the Bible.

  1. I believe I shall bookmark your blog! I found it because I ‘tagged’ one of my posts ‘abortion’. I believe I shall greatly enjoy reading your blog as I am also a Christian (or striving to be one in the truest sense of the word “Like Christ”). I attended a Baptist Bible college for a year, and honestly disliked it for the most part, so I refuse to identify myself wholeheartedly as a Baptist. LOL. I do enjoy reading things from that perspective though. I often find I’m more wrong than right. I’ll be checking back!

  2. I indentify myself as a baptist, because doctrinally that is what I am, but I refuse to identify myself as any kind of baptist from the prospective of organization. Although I attend and belong to a SBC church, I am not in total agreement with everything they do and say. I am a baptist in the historical sense of the word as opposed to other denominations, whose beliefs run contrary to the scriptures.
